The Moot Court Society (“MCS”) of Pravin Gandhi College of Law (“PGCL”) under its “Happy to Guide” initiative organized an insightful session on Arbitration and Dispute Resolution: India and Foreign Practice. Registration for the Webinar began on the 24th September 2020.

 

On 26th September 2020, the webinar commenced at 02:30 PM with the felicitation of the guest speaker by Mr. Manan Mehta. The webinar was without a remarkable session, as we were graced by our regarded speaker Mr. Hari Wadhwana. Sir is a dual-qualified lawyer who is currently practicing in Dubai, UAE.

 

Our esteemed speaker gradually explained, from the utmost basics to the concepts and mechanisms within the world of Arbitration. It was a profoundly interactive webinar wherein the speaker addressed the challenges, solutions, and prospects about Arbitration and Dispute Resolution. The part of a webinar focused on different arbitration clauses in both the UAE and India. The highlight of the session was an alluring interpretation of the pandemic disputes including the thumb rules of arbitration.

 

Nowadays, the disputes are inevitable and are increasing as businesses around the globe are growing. Through this webinar, the participants gained an in-depth understanding of the various facets of arbitration through the analysis of its role as a mechanism of dispute settlement, its institutions, and the fields of law it applies to.

 

Then following the structured cycle of comprehension of the subject, the participants actively raised some pondering questions. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Vatsala Toprani.
